Microgreens

Microgreens are the young seedlings of vegetables, herbs, beans, and grains. Harvested after 2-4 weeks of growth, they are exceptionally nutritious and provide an excellent source of health-supporting phytonutrients. Despite their small size, microgreens have surprisingly intense flavors and are used as a visual enhancement and flavor accent. Microgreens’ delicate, fresh appearance adds beauty and dimension combined with a range of distinct flavors. I love growing them - they are perfect for those of us (myself included) who want to plant something - and get results right away. In just 10 to 15 days you could cut yourself a vitamin-loaded harvest, and immediately plant another batch, experimenting to all your hearts content. We grow microgreens in the SOEL Farm’ greenhouse. They are organically grown, then cut and sold to our wholesale clients (restaurants) as well as to the general public. The large container is $15, the small one is $3. They are perfect on a sandwich, with eggs, in salads, in smoothies - really, the list of recipes is endless. You could buy a blend of micro greens, or specific ones to enhance the flavor - think about adding arugula on your sandwich or red radish and curly pea shoots on the top of your salad. It is essential that you give us heads up how many, what kind and WHEN you need them - the fresh cuts usually are gone within a day. To see the list of what we grow, please look below.
