Herbal Masterclass Lavender 2025

Lavender is in full bloom at SOEL Farm and I am glad to announce dates for herbal lavender masterclasses! We’ll have the first one on July 7, at 6 pm. The second will be on Saturday, July 12 at 5 pm. Gala Rokhinson will be our herbalist (read about her credentials here). We will have a short discussion of lavender medicinal and culinary usage and discuss the specifics of growing lavender in our climate.

The class will start outside, on the farm, very close to lavender beds - we will cut the flowers that we would need later for crafting.

We offer the foundations for 2 sizes of wreaths - large (the work in progress above) and small (the finished one pictured below - I've been using it all year). Tickets prices are $30 and $35 based on your choice of the wreath size. Registration to the masterclass is on our website - I encourage you to register earlier, as we limit the number of people. Please specify what size of wreath you plan to create - I need to ensure I have enough supplies.

The length will be about 2 hours. After the class, the participants will have a chance to cut themselves bouquets of fresh lavender, free of charge, for you to keep through the winter for culinary and medicinal experiments.

Light refreshments will be served - all lavender based (think lavender lemonade and ice cream).
