Lily of the Valley = LOV

Signifying the return of happiness, these small charming flowers have finally arrived. A symbol of purity, joy, love, sincerity, happiness, and luck, the small flower has much significance in human history. It's actually the national flower of Finland, and in France, on 1st May for La Fête du Muguet, lily of the valleys are gifted to loved ones. This French custom dates back to the 16th century (inaugurated by Charles IX, King of France, in 1561) – symbolizing luck and happiness. I think most important is the sentiment I hear over and over again, as my customers pick up their orders: “I am buying it because it is a favorite of my mother, …grandmother…”.

We are starting to take orders for this weekend and the whole next week. Ignoring inflation, we are keeping last year's arrangements: a bouquet of 25-30 flowers and leaves is $25 (cash is still king, but Venmo or check are also welcome). To order your bouquet(s) and reserve the pick up date please click here. Please indicate the number of bouquets you need and the approximate time you will pick them up in the message section (I wouldn't want them to sit outside all day if you're planning on coming by at 6pm, for example). The flowers will be waiting for you at the bench in front of the garage at SOEL Farm (20 Stillhouse rd, Millstone). Sorry, but we do not deliver. LOVs are gentle and fragile - so please pick them early and do not delay your order - they may be gone by Mother’s Day!
